A MAN received serious head injuries in an accident on Bradford Road, Cottingley, last night.
The 39-year-old pedestrian was hurt in the collision on the B6265 near Grange Park Drive which was reported to police at 7.20pm.
The air ambulance landed at the scene near Bingley but was not needed.
The road remained closed until 1am.
A police spokesperson said the driver of the vehicle involved, a grey Peugeot 2008, stopped after the collision and was spoken to by police.
Local residents commented on social media that two of the street lights in that area were not working and Councillor Naveed Riaz posted that he would talk to Bradford Council's highways department about it.
The scene of the collision is close to where 17-year-old Ishah Riaz was killed in a road traffic collision in December.
