Motorists are being warned to avoid a road in the Aire Valley tonight after a road traffic collision.
Police and the ambulance service were scrambled to the incident on the B6265 Bradford Road in Cottingley, near Bingley.
There are suggestions on social media that a pedestrian may have been involved in a collision with a car, although police are yet to clarify details of the incident through an official statement or appeal.
The air ambulance landed nearby, but is not thought to have been used to transport anyone to hospital.
Bus services in the area have been disrupted by the road closure.
Keighley Bus Company tweeted: “There's been an RTC near Ghyll Wood Drive at Cottingley. #theShuttle is operating on route as far as possible, and then turning around to operate via Bingley by-pass, so we're serving as many stops as possible.”
In an update at about 9.35pm, the bus firm tweeted: “Following the earlier RTC at Cottingley, it appears the B6265 Bradford Road is going to be closed for the rest of the evening. Therefore #theShuttle will now be diverting via the by-pass between BINGLEY and COTTINGLEY until the end of service.”
