Three new schools will open in Bradford next year as part of the district's £400 million secondary schools' transformation programme.
The massive Building Schools for the Future scheme will see every secondary school rebuilt or revamped over the next ten years.
Work has already begun on Phase One and contractors have begun building new state-of-the-art schools on the Salt Grammar, Tong School and Buttershaw High sites which will open next September.
Now Phase Two has reached the stage where an Outline Business Case must be approved by Bradford Council's executive and sent to the Department for Children, Schools and Families to secure cash for the next round of secondary schools.
The executive is also being asked to approve the local authority's capital funding commitment to the programme.
Phase Two includes regenerating Beckfoot School, Greenhead High School, Hanson School and Grange Technology College.
