A 13-year-old girl was involved in anti-social behaviour (ASB) - including pushing a member of staff - at Baildon's Co-op store.
Police said the incident happened yesterday.
A spokesperson for the Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "The girl, who is not local, was taken home and issued a community resolution for assault in front of her father.
"ASB will not be tolerated and will be dealt with positively. Support and safeguarding is always the priority, but accountability and understanding of the effects of ASB on the community is important.
"Tackling anti-social behaviour is critical to building public confidence and if not tackled can blight the lives of people living within communities. Dealing with anti-social behaviour remains a key priority for us.
"West Yorkshire Police works in partnership with local authorities and is increasingly the involvement of our communities to tackle priorities that are associated with anti-social behaviour."
