A SCOOTER club raised £500 for a charity which works to prevent suicide.
The Old Claytonians Scooter Club held its post-Christmas bash at Clayton Conservative Club, which was attended by nearly 200 scooter enthusiasts and guests.
The club handed the cheque over to Jason Craig who was representing the charity Papyrus.
Charlie Clifford, founder member of the scooter club, thanked everyone who dipped into their pockets and made the night possible. He also thanked the support given by the other scooter clubs who turned out in force and the Conservative Club for its continued support.
Singer Jane Chippendale kicked the party off with Northern Soul classics, which was followed by a disco and karaoke.
