Families are needed for more than 50 children across the district who need adopting.
Bradford Council's Adoption and Fostering Unit is holding drop-in sessions for anyone interested in adoption to chat with a social worker and find out about what is involved.
National Adoption Week, which runs until Sunday, November 11, began in 1997 to highlight the number of children who need adopting.
More than 50 children in the Bradford district are currently waiting to be adopted.
Bob Davidson, adoption manager at the Adoption and fostering Unit, said: "We are looking for families for children from all different backgrounds, especially those of black, Asian or dual heritage."
The drop-in sessions are between 1pm and 4.30pm until tomorrow, and 1pm to 4pm on Friday, at the Council's Adoption and Fostering Unit, in Saltaire Road, Shipley. For more information visit www.bradford.gov.uk or call Jean Walker on (01274) 434331 for an information pack.
