THERE are lots of ways that you can support Overgate Hospice during 2020 – and for those who sign up early for their fun-filled events, they’re offering a not-to-be-missed January discount.

The new 2020 event guide has just been launched and, until the end of January, everyone who registers for the Three Peaks Challenge, Mountain Bike Challenge, Colour Run, or Midnight Walk, will save up to £15 on their registration fee.

The fundraising team is encouraging anyone thinking of joining in with any – or all – of the events, to sign up early and beat the 500 entries they received last year from people who took advantage of this fantastic offer to have a great time while supporting the work of the hospice.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Why not get a team together and make a real challenge of it? The events are always lots of fun, with a brilliant atmosphere involving people who care about others, doing their best to make life better for those suffering from progressive, life-limiting illnesses.

And don’t worry if you enter on your own – you’ll find lots of friendly people also taking part, to raise as much money as possible for a great, local cause.

Events fundraiser, Jess Bailey, said: “2019 was a fantastic year for our main events, culminating in our Midnight Walk, which raised more than £56,000 for the hospice. We want to continue this in 2020 and, by holding a sale on our event prices, we are hoping to get as many people involved as possible.

“Since opening in 1981, we have cared for more than 10,000 patients and their families, and it is only with the continued support of the community that we can provide this care for the years to come.’

Here are the dates for your diary so that you don’t miss booking up for any of them:

• The Three Peak Challenge: Saturday, May 16
• The Mountain Bike Challenge: Sunday, June 21, starting at Overgate Hospice at 9am
• The Colour Run: Saturday, July 11, starting at Savile Park at 11am
• The Midnight Walk: Saturday, September 12, starting at Northbridge Leisure Centre at midnight
