POLICE revealed they have a "cell waiting" for a suspect who was racist on the phone.
The West Yorkshire Police Contact Management Centre deals with 999 and 101 calls.
It tweeted on Monday, December 23, about a contact officer giving a statement relating to an incident on the phone.
A caller allegedly racially abused the officer on Sunday, December 22, during a 999 call.
The tweet from the Centre said: "Another statement done by one of our contact officers yesterday due to the racist abuse he received whilst dealing with a 999 call, which is not acceptable at all.
"Officers will be paying the suspect a visit and we have a cell waiting for them."
