The Telegraph & Argus Brilliant Bradford campaign aims to give people back the feelgood factor and now we want to hear what makes Bradford and district truly brilliant for you.

Over the past few weeks we've been reporting on the Sustainable Commun-ity Strategy, a ten-point plan to improve all aspects of life in the district.

But big ideas, although vital to the future of Bradford, are only a part of the story.

We know that what makes Bradford great are the people who live and work here. And those are the people we want to hear from, and hear about.

What makes Bradford so good?

Is it a special person, who tirelessly works with no demand of thanks or reward, for the good of others?

Is it a particular piece of architecture that always catches your eye?

Perhaps one of the many tourist attractions in the district?

Maybe even your favourite restaurant, pub or fish and chip shop?

Is there a business or organisation that does its bit to promote Bradford and deserves recognition?

The Brilliant Bradford campaign covers a wide brief, and we want to share your own experiences and local heroes with the rest of the district. To inspire you, here are some of the thoughts of some of Bradford's well-known names and faces, and local people on the street.

Bradford novelist and poet Joolz Denby said: "I wasn't born in Bradford, I chose to live here.

"I've travelled all over the world and been to almost every city in the UK and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I love it because it's beautiful, unusual and interesting. It has lots of history and a brilliant future."

Rocker and songwriter Justin Sullivan from Bradford band New Model Army said: "Bradford's such a creative city, it gives me inspiration for my music.

"I like its skyscape. Because we are in a valley it's like being in a big bowl looking up. The sky is immense and the sense of space it gives is fantastic. It's so open."

Safe Areas for Everyone in Bradford Project manager Elizabeth Hellmich said: "The way the city is in harmony and that the communities struck by the riots are now working together again is better than ever before."

Bradford City FC captain David Wetherall said: "The regeneration programme is going to make Bradford a really exciting place to be."
