THE LATEST crime figures are out and the T&A has pinpointed the top anti-social hotspots across Bradford and the district.

The Police UK website allows the public to view the data for different types of crime, each month, and the areas they took place on an interactive map.

This specific area for a crime is defined as "on or near" that location.

By using this map for November 2019's statistics - the latest available - the T&A was able to discover the worst locations for anti-social behaviour in Bradford and the wider district.

TOP STORIES:

Overall, November has seen a huge drop in the levels of anti-social behaviour.

In October, there were 1,317 anti-social behaviour crimes reported in the areas the T&A looked at, compared to 977 for last month.

That drop of 340, represents a decrease of just over 25 per cent.

The areas covered in this analysis stretch as far as the likes of Keighley, Otley, Cleckheaton, Horsforth and Pudsey, but not as far as Liversedge, Bramley, Brighouse, or Skipton for example.

It incorporates statistics from the following police neighbourhood areas: Bradford City, East, South, West; Shipley; Keighley; Leeds North West, West; Batley and Spen.

The location which stood out among the rest was Enterprise Way and Morrison's Petrol Station, just off Five Lane Ends.

Throughout November, a total of 14 anti-social behaviour crimes were reported there.

That's five more than the two hotspot areas in joint second.

Those places belong to Pudsey Bus Station and Haworth Road, both with nine crimes each.

At Enterprise Way, there is a McDonald's store situated next door to the Morrison's supermarket and petrol station.

Similarly, one of the four anti-social hotspots with eight recorded crimes in November, also homes a McDonald's.

This is the area just off Tony Miller Approach, where there is also an Aldi.

The other three all with eight record crimes are: Todwell Lane, Terracotta Drive and Heaton Road.

Despite not making the list, there was one recorded anti-social behaviour crime at Leeds-Bradford Airport in November.

There was also one recorded there the month before.

All but two of the police neighbourhoods saw a decrease in anti-social behaviour from October to November.

Shipley rose by 13 to 127, while the areas the T&A covered in Batley and Spen remained exactly the same on 32.

Bradford East had the most reports of anti-social behaviour, at 227.
