A BAR on Darley Street has applied for a licence to open until 4am.

Al’s Juke Bar opened in the former Game shop unit at the junction of Darley Street and Duke Street in January, and has become a popular city centre venue, hosting live bands and quirky events.

Now the bar’s owner Steve Le Shaw has applied to alter its licence so it can serve drinks, host music and serve food until 4am.

The application to vary the licence was submitted to Bradford Council this month, and a decision is expected in the New Year.

The bar had re-located from North Parade, where it was known as Al’s Dime Bar. It is now just a short distance from the multi million pound Darley Street market development.
