PROPOSALS to convert an empty pub on a busy Bradford road into a shop have been submitted to Bradford Council.
A change of use planning application by Usman would see a new frontage added to the former Shoulder of Mutton on Thornton Road.
An expansion would also be built in the pub’s former yard - creating a new shop space on Kensington Street.
The application says: “New aluminium shop frontages will be installed with new internally mounted perforated roller shutters.
“Furthermore, a two-storey side extension will be constructed from natural stone that will give more retail space to the shop and create more accommodation for the first-floor apartment.”
A decision on the application is expected in February.
