GENEROUS staff at Eccleshill Treatment Centre (pictured) have collected 22 boxes of goods for homeless families this Christmas.

They gave toiletries, toys, books, household items, coats, hats, scarves, gloves and clothes for clients at various Horton Housing schemes in Bradford.

Horton Housing provides housing, training and support services for vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and North Yorkshire.

Gill Heaton, medical secretary at the treatment centre said: “We are delighted to be able to help this very worthwhile cause again. We hope our donations will help some of the most vulnerable people in Bradford.”

The donations will be distributed among families and single people who are living in temporary and supported accommodation this Christmas.

Some of the toys are brand new and will be wrapped up for the children as Christmas presents from Santa. The toiletries will be given as gifts to young people aged 16-25 living in our group living accommodation in Bradford and Halifax.

The Treatment Centre has an endoscopy day ward, outpatients dermatology and ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) clinics. It is part of the Westcliffe Health Innovations Group. Its CEO is Dr Pam Rawal and its Director of Finance & Performance/Deputy CEO is Julie Winterbottom.

Paul Gartland, Chief Executive Officer at Horton Housing, said: “We are very grateful to all the staff at Westcliffe Health Innovations for this support. This time of year can be very lonely for vulnerable people and it is heart-warming to know that people are thinking of them. These kind donations will go a long way to helping our clients have a lovely Christmas.”
