THE T&A's chief sports writer Simon Parker says Bradford City will be hopeful of welcoming back the pre-season version of midfielder Matty Palmer for the upcoming Christmas and New Year fixtures.

However, he does note that Callum Cooke could be key to Palmer's success, with the defensive midfielder able to offer the necessary protection for the creative on-loan Rotherham United man.

He also discusses a dour game at Leyton Orient, with the 0-0 draw ensuring further away disappointment, following the 1-1 with financially stricken Macclesfield Town two weeks earlier.

T&A reporter Nathan Atkinson also asks him about tomorrow's visitors to Valley Parade, Salford City, a team Simon admits he may have over-estimated at the start of the season, even if he feels they have plenty of time to catch up.

There is also time to squeeze in a quick preview of the visit to Carlisle United on Boxing Day, a game in which Simon thinks City need to score first to open things up.

And listen out for some authentic Bradford noise in the background too!
