A SMALL former taxi office in a city Conservation Area could be turned into a restaurant if new plans are approved.

The taxi office at 98 Morley Street shut this summer, and a planning application to change the use of the unit into a restaurant has now been submitted to Bradford Council.

The dilapidated looking building lies in the Little Horton Lane Conservation Area.

The application, by H Feroz, says: "The property is located within a prominent location on Morley Street however the property is in disrepair this application would restore the building.

Parking concerns lead to Listerhills Road restaurant plan being refused

"The existing building has undoubtedly been affected by previous works. We feel our proposals are a start to ensuring the present and future restoration of the property."

The unit measures just 30 square metres, and plans show bar seating in the limited space.

Two full time jobs will be created by the new business, according to the application.

A decision on the plan is expected in February.
