BRADFORD has been named in the top 20 best cities for remote workers, according to a new study.

The data by Pooky reveals the best and worst cities for creative professionals to work based on salaries, accessibility and affordability in 100 locations across the UK.

The findings revealed that Bradford is one of the most affordable places for freelancers to rent office space with local workers spending £5.70 per day for one person.

Leeds, Harrogate, Barnsley and York all ranked more expensive for remote workers.

The survey found average price of office space per person, per day in Bradford was £5.70, the same as Huddersfield, with Barnsley coming in at £5.80, Harrogate £5.90, Leeds and Halifax £6 and York £6.20.

Bradford is far more affordable than some of the UK’s most expensive cities paying 40% less than London workers and 58% less than those living in Slough. Freelancers working in York may want to consider relocating to Bradford as on average, professionals spend an eye-watering £182 extra per year on office space.

According to the survey, the city also offers a higher salary for some of the most in demand creative jobs in the UK.

On average, web developers in Bradford earn up to £3,655 more than those based in York and Birmingham, the UK’s second largest city. Graphic Designers should also consider moving to Bradford, as they could pocket an extra £589 a year.
