THE fraud and theft trial of Little Heroes Cancer Trust founder Colin Nesbitt has come to an abrupt halt.
The jury in the case was today discharged and a new date set of January 25 2021.
Nesbitt, 58, of Kent Road, Bingley, denies a £370,000 fraud and theft from the charity he founded and directed after his grandson became ill with a rare form of cancer.
He pleads not guilty to five charges of fraud, three counts of supplying false and misleading information to The Charity Commission and one charge of stealing £7,000 from the Little Heroes Cancer Trust.
Judge Jonathan Gibson discharged the jury after the trial had been running since Monday, December 2, and the prosecution case was drawing to a close.
