A VACANT industrial unit could be given a new lease of life after new plans were approved.
An application to subdivide Unit 4 in the Mac Business Park has this week been approved by Bradford Council.
The plans, submitted by Oak Tree Harrogate, would see the 885 square metre unit on Barnard Road, East Bowling, divided into six light industrial “starter units” between 70 square metres and 197 square metres.
Plans to turn a scrap yard into an industrial and retail site have been approved
Planning officers said; “The proposal is welcomed as it would allow employment and would comply with the aims of the Council’s Core Strategy Section 5 - heading of Prosperity, Economy and Jobs.
“Given the nature of the existing and proposed used and that the fact the site is located in an industrial estate, the proposed use is unlikely to have an greater impact upon residential amenity than what currently exists on the site.”
