A PEDESTRIAN was seriously injured in an accident in Keighley town centre yesterday evening.
The 58-year-old woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
Although serious, her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident happened shortly after 6pm in North Street, near the junction with Cavendish Street.
The area was sealed off as emergency services dealt with the incident.
West Yorkshire Police said the driver of a blue Suzuki Wagon had been spoken to at scene.
There was also disruption due to a crash.
Part of South Street was shut while emergency services dealt with the incident, near the King's Head pub.
Fire crews from Keighley and Bingley, police and paramedics attended the incident, at about 7.15pm.
Firefighters help two female casualties from the vehicles – a Renault Scenic and a taxi.
