BRADFORD-based supermarket Morrisons is giving away misshapen carrots to customers who want to leave out a snack for Santa's reindeers on Christmas Eve.
The firm will be handing out the wonky vegetable in bags labelled Carrots for Rudolph from the entrances of its 493 stores across the UK on Saturday, December 21.
It will also help carrot farmers after the unseasonably wet weather over the last two months saw a rise in the wonky vegetables being harvested.
Andy Todd, Carrot Buyer at Morrisons said: “We want to make it easy for our customers to enjoy these magical Christmas traditions. And at the same time we want to highlight that wonky carrots are just as tasty as perfect-looking carrots - to support our farmers.”
