'The Grinch' has been on the beat helping Weymouth police keep shoplifters at bay.
Anti-social behaviour was also dealt today by officers on foot patrol.
A spokesman for Weymouth & Portland Police said: "The team - including our very own Christmas Grinch - have been out on foot patrol in the town this morning.
"Whilst out we have dealt with a small group causing anti-social behaviour at the train station and responded to reports of shoplifting."
