It's not just political leaders such as Donald Trump who lie, we're all at it, says Alan Bates
SIR – There is a lot of hysteria about the dishonesty and untrustworthiness of our PM and Donald Trump. They may have a point but since when did everyone else become paragons of virtue? Let’s be honest, not only are lies told by politicians but people in general. In job interviews, at work, in churches, in dating, people lie to their parents, children and friends.

Is it because these too men are in power? Or is it because the left of politics has an irritating habit of taking the moral high ground on almost every issue?
