BRADFORD Interchange was evacuated this evening over a "potentially suspicious package", it has emerged.
Crowds of commuters stood outside The Queen and The Great Victoria as an emergency shutdown was put in place.
A number of police units arrived on the scene as taxis and buses were refused entry into the station.
Police signalled it was safe to go in shortly after 4.45pm
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to Bradford Interchange at 16.20 today to a report of a potentially suspicious package outside a shop there
"Officers have attended and inspected the package which has been determined not to be suspicious."
