A SOCIAL worker from Bradford was honoured at a national awards ceremony.

Jack Skinner, who works for Bradford Council, was named the winner of the Team Leader of the Year, Adult Services award at the prestigious Social Worker of the Year Awards, which were held on November 29.

Since 2017, Jack has managed the council’s Mental Capacity Act Service, which supports those with mental health needs to remain in control of their lives.

The judging panel commended Jack for the positive impact that he has made on the team’s performance, describing him as a “supportive and encouraging manager who leads by example".

The awards were hosted by TV chef and emotional wellness advocate Lorraine Pascale, who Jack (second from left) is pictured with above.
