LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn today stepped out in a special suit jacket created by a Bradford tailor.

Mr Corbyn was on the campaign trail in Whitby today sporting the striking, bespoke piece which had his 'for the many not the few' motto printed into a pinstripe.

It's the work of Imran Khan, 38, and his team IK Collections on Westgate.

He gave the Telegraph & Argus a sneak peek of the suit back in October.

Mr Khan said at the time: "Off our own back, we said we wanted to do something for him.

"It's not just about him, it's about poverty as well.

"The amount of people who come to this door asking for money.

"I always keep 10 pounds back here to give out and it always goes."

Mr Khan said the fitting was left slightly baggier, to suit Mr Corbyn's style and that he'd done his research by asking MPs.

The cloth was made in Yorkshire, with the special message printed onto the suit, running down it in pinstripes.

Speaking to reporters in the seaside town today, Mr Corbyn said it was a present from Fabian Hamilton, who is standing in the Leeds North East constituency, and he was given it on Saturday night ahead of an NHS-themed rally.

Mr Corbyn said: "He has a friend of his who is a tailor. He gave me this jacket and it's quite splendid."

He joked: "It almost fits. I don't know if we need the jacket to grow or me to shrink."

Mr Khan, a fan of the Labour leader, said he'd had help from friend Zorah Mohammed Hinchcliffe to get the jacket to Mr Corbyn, which he passed on to his people yesterday at the event.

He said: "When I saw the pictures, it was just amazing.

"He looks amazing in it, he looks really nice in it, I'm so happy.

"It has made a big impression. Jeremy Corbyn is very chuffed with it."
