BRADFORD residents who braved cold conditions for homeless charity Centrepoint raised £13,000.
Almost 100 Bradford residents and businesses swapped their beds for sleeping bags to spend the night sleeping on the floor of Bradford AFC’S Northern Commercials Stadium. Bradford City players, Shay McCarten and Jordan Gibson and Chris Nicholl and James Tordoff from the 'Hell Oar High Water' rowing team also took on the challenge.
Chloe Sykes, Centrepoint’s senior fundraising officer, said: “Sleep Out is only a brief glimpse into experiencing the cold and the discomfort which is the reality for the thousands of young people homeless or at risk of homelessness in Yorkshire this Christmas. Events like this are essential to support young people in Bradford.”
