Pub regulars at The Acorn in Eldwick are bidding a fond farewell to their larger than life landlord after a whirlwind role.
Adam Reay, who is leaving for personal reasons, took over the pub this Summer with dreams of turning it into a community pub "just like a local back in the day".
He said: "I send my thanks to everybody who supported me and helped me turn the pub into what it is now.
"Pickles Pubs have been absolutely grand. It's been absolutely fantastic."
"It's been a massively difficult decision to make. It's not that nobody will ever see me again."
Adam's last official quiz will be next Tuesday.
Neil Pickles, MD for Pickles Pubs, has been searching for the new landlord with Adam's guidance.
He said: "Adam's a great guy. He got on well with the customers.
"It's very hard to find someone in this business these days that actually does the job in the old school way. Once you find someone that can do it you don't want to lose them.
"We will make sure that Adam's work is continued."
