A PENSIONER and his passenger had to be taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries after a late-night crash.
The incident happened at around 9pm last night, on Otley Road, just further down from its junction with Idle Road.
It involved two cars.
A blue BMW travelling down the road, towards Bradford city centre, crossed the carriageway and collided with an oncoming Vauxhall Viva.
The BMW then left the road, rolling backwards down an enbankment and into metal railings.
The driver of the Vauxhall Viva, a 77-year-old male, and his 47-year-old passenger were both taken to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).
They needed treatment for potentially serious injuries.
The driver of the BMW, a man aged 39, suffered minor cuts.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Any witnesses to the incident itself, or anyone who saw the lead up to the collision, is asked to contact PC Cheryl Moore of Roads Policing on the non-emergency number 101.
