A WOMAN found dead in her Bournemouth home has been named as Susanne Gunner.

A police investigation was launched following the unexplained death of the 70-year-old woman in the Windham Road property just after 3pm on Tuesday November 5.

Now officers are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

They would like to hear from people who saw the woman in the days leading up to her death.

Officers attended the scene along with the ambulance service on November 5 and it was confirmed that Susanne Gunner had died. Her next of kin has been informed.

A police cordon was set up at the address, on the corner of Windham Road and Victoria Road in Springbourne.

Two police cars and a number of officers remained at the scene for two days.

House-to-house inquiries were carried out in the area in a bid to establish what had happened.

A post-mortem examination took place on Thursday November 7 but the cause of death remains undetermined pending further tests.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said detectives are satisfied that there is nothing to indicate the cause of her death is suspicious at this stage but enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and determine the movements of the woman who died in the days leading up to her body being found.

Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and we have so far not had any recent sightings of Susanne who sadly died in the days before she was found.

“I would urge anyone who saw her or witnessed any activity at the address and has not already spoken to police to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting occurrence number 55190174749, or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
