A 32-year-old Shipley man is to stand trial next year accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a collision on the M62 near Brighouse.
Ansar Nasir, of Redburn Avenue, appeared before a judge at Bradford Crown Court today and pleaded not guilty to the charge, which relates to a collision between two vehicles at junction 25 on September 21 last year.
The 81-year-old woman who was driving the other vehicle involved is understood to have suffered severe bruising and torn tendons in both her shoulders.
Nasir did plead guilty to the dangerous driving element of the offence, but Judge Jonathan Rose fixed a trial date for April 22 next year.
The trial is expected to last three days and Nasir was granted bail in the meantime.
