GRASSINGTON is gearing up for its annual Dickensian Festival.
Due to take place over the first two weekends in December, there will be the usual mix of Victorian style entertainment, brass bands, ‘hurdy-gurdy’, singers and dancers and slapstick comedy routines.
The expected thousands of festival goers will also enjoy punch and judy, magic shows, jugglers, buskers and hot chestnut stalls.
Shoppers will be able to browse more than 50 outdoor stalls, and also the indoor Christmas craft market, as well as all the many family owned, traditional shops. There will also be a Santa’s grotto, community carol singing, a nativity in the square, and a procession of light led by Mary and Joseph on their donkey.
The festival will run on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, and on Saturday, December 7, and on Sunday, December 8, from 11am to 5pm. To find out more, visit:grassingtondickensian.co.uk
