STAFF from Bradford Council’s Youth Service are working in partnership with the Rockwell Community Centre and the Dubrovnik Hotel to provide more than 100 meals for flood victims in Doncaster.
The Youth Service staff involved have been volunteering their time to help produce the meals, which are being paid for by The Dubrovnik Hotel and the Yorkshire Curry Club.
The food was cooked and packed at the Hotel today and will be delivered to the Stamford Community Resource Centre in Doncaster tomorrow.
Christmas day volunteers needed for Bradford's young care leavers
Naz Ali, Advanced Practitioner for the Council’s Youth Provision, said: “Everyone has seen the terrible pictures of flooding in Doncaster.
"Many of us in Bradford know the impact flooding can have so we really wanted to help.
"It’s fantastic that we have council staff and the local community volunteering their time and working with the Rockwell Community Centre, The Dubrovnik Hotel and the Yorkshire Curry Club to get the meals cooked and packed. It shows Bradford at its best.”
