RESIDENTS of the Bradford District can now download the replacement version of the Bradford Council mobile app.

After installing the updated app, people can continue to get alerts about bin days, job vacancies, school closures and access to key council service information.

People will need to download the replacement app from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store as this is not simply an update to the existing app. People who still have the old Bradford Council app should delete it as it will no longer work.

The replacement app offers an improved experience for residents along with improved features including greater accessibility, alert sounds and automatic content updates.

The replacement app also offers more flexibility with its alerts.

Residents will soon be able to choose what time of day they receive their bin day reminders and the council will be able to offer a wider range of notifications, such as direct alerts to individual bin rounds.

Joanne Hyde, Bradford Council’s Strategic Director for Corporate Resources, said: “In the five years since we launched the first version of the Bradford Council app it has become increasingly popular for alerts about bin days, job vacancies and school closures.

“We anticipate that the replacement version of the app will provide residents with everything they have come to expect from us and more.”
