THE Anchor Inn, in Gargrave, has been forced to close temporarily after a burglary overnight.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the incident occurred sometime between midnight and 6am this morning.
A quantity of bottles of spirits was taken from behind the bar. A large amount of damage was also caused to the interior.
Police said forensics are currently at the pub making investigations.
Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity at the premises between these times is asked to ring 101 and quote incident number 12190209623.
