MORE than £1,000 was raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity through a bike ride.

It was held in memory of a mum and son who died earlier this year, Anthony Farrer organised the ride in memory of Trafford Quantrill-Stott and his mum, Debbie Quantrill.

Trafford, 21, died on May 10 when the bike he was riding crashed on Clayton Road, Lidget Green.

Debbie turned 40 on the day Trafford was killed, but tragically passed away a little over two months later due to a brain aneurysm.

The ride, completed by Anthony, Haydn Moor, Garry Nudds and Connor Moor, went from Debbie's home on Scholemoor Lane, to Bridlington and Scarborough and back.

A total of £,1,073.92 was raised. Anthony thanked all those who helped.
