Adrian, a 65-year-old from Birstall, was given emergency treatment at the scene but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Lee, who is 52, was taken to hospital by air ambulance and remains in a critical condition.

The incident occurred when a silver Mercedes C220 was travelling west towards Wetherby town centre.

It was in collision with the two pedestrians, who were part of a group walking along the road in the same direction.
