TWO SISTERS have held a ball in aid in aid of Manorlands for the second year running.
Sophie and Emily Baker organised the event at the Coniston Hotel, where they work, and raised £3,052.
Sophie and Emily, from Long Preston, who are studying event management at Craven College, said they were overwhelmed by the continued support from everyone who attended and the local businesses who contributed.
They said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Creative Events who made the room look incredible; the Coniston Hotel, Country Estate and Spa for hosting the event for the second year; and MC David Robinson who did an amazing job to help deliver such an unforgettable night.”
Sue Ryder Manorlands community fundraiser Molly Ralphson said: “Manorlands is very lucky to have the support of Sophie and Emily.
"They do a fantastic job and have raised more than £6,000 over the past two years.
“Sophie and Emily’s fundraising will directly help our patients and their families – either in our hospice or out in the local community and we are so very grateful to them for their hard work.”
