A PEDESTRIAN has been left seriously injured after a collision late last-night.

The crash involved a woman in her 40s and a white VW Polo.

It occurred at 11:17pm yesterday on Hamm Strasse in Bradford city centre, at the junction with Manningham Lane.

The vehicle stopped at the scene and the driver - a 34-year-old man - was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

He remains in custody.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers in the Roads Policing Unit are now appealing for anyone with information to contact police.

Anyone with dashcam footage of the incident or of the vehicle driving in the area prior to the collision is asked to contact officers.
