MORE than a dozen defendants are due to appear in court tomorrow charged with offences relating to the supply of class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine, in Bradford.
The defendants, ranging in age from 18 to 50, were arrested and charged last month following an investigation by West Yorkshire Police into drug supply lines in the district.
The men and women are due to make their first appearance at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court throughout tomorrow.
The operation was led by Bradford's Programme Precision Team and saw 22 people - 20 men and two women - charged in total.
Officers seized more than £15,000 worth of drugs, and recovered property, vehicles, clothing and £2,000 in cash.
The arrests took place during a week of warrants across the district and into Leeds and Kirklees.
Detective Inspector Matthew Walker, who led the operation, said at the time: "We are committed to tackling those involved in the supply of drugs in Bradford district.
"The people of Bradford are fed up of drug dealing taking place on the streets of Bradford which tarnishes the reputation of this city.
"Anyone with information about those involved in the supply of drugs is urged to pass it on to their local neighbourhood policing team, or report it anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers."
