SEVERE weather has caused a number of issues across Northern's network meaning a number of train services are cancelled or delayed.

But there is a way you can get compensation for unused tickets or long waiting times.

The Telegraph & Argus has asked Northern for a one-stop guide on how to claim back money for your tickets under their 'Delay Repay' scheme.

Northern's Customer Promise offers compensation to customers who are delayed by 15 minutes or longer on their journey.

Customers can claim delay repay if a train is late or cancelled and, as a result, they get to their destination station more than 15 minutes later than scheduled.

If customers wish to make a claim under the delay repay initiative, they should retain travel tickets and complete the Delay Repay form which is available on Northern's website here.
