Remembrance Services are being held across the Bradford district this Sunday to pay respects to those who lost their lives in conflicts around the world.

Lord Mayor Councillor Doreen Lee will attend the Bradford city centre commemorations and lay a wreath at Bradford’s Cenotaph, as the parade set off at 10.40am from City Hall to the cenotaph at the bottom of Morley Street.

Other Remembrance Services across the district include:

Addingham: Service at St Peter’s Church at 10.30am then parade to the War Memorial, Main Street at 11.45am.

Allerton: Service and wreath-laying ceremony at 3pm at Allerton War Memorial, Lady Hill Park.

Baildon: Service at Tong Park War Memorial at 1.15pm, before a parade at 2.10pm and a 2.30pm Service at the Methodist Church. Another parade to the War Memorial on Browgate will assemble at 3.30pm.

Bingley: A parade starts outside Bingley Arts Centre at 10.20am. Service at Myrtle Park cenotaph at 11.45am, before a march to Bingley Town Hall where refreshments are served.

Bolton Woods: Refreshments at 2pm at Bradford Christian School before service at 2.20pm.

Burley-in-Wharfedale: Service at St Mary’s Church at 9.45am. Remembrance Service takes place at the cenotaph at 11am.

Clayton: There will be a Service at The Parish Church of St John The Baptist at 10.30am followed by a walk to the cenotaph in Victoria Park where wreaths will be laid at 12.00 noon.

Cross Roads, Lees and Bocking: Service at Church of St James at 9.30am and a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial in Cross Roads Park at 10.50am.

Cullingworth: A Service at Methodist Church begins at 10am and a Remembrance Service at 10.55am, at the War Memorial, Halifax Road.

Denholme: The Shared Church host a Service at 9.30am. A parade starts at 10.45am by the Youth Café on School Street before a march to the cenotaph in Foster Park.

Eccleshill: A parade begins by the bowling green in the Recreation Ground at 2.55pm before a 3pm Service at the cenotaph.

Greengates: Greengates Parish Church has a 10am Service and a 10.45am parade to the cenotaph on Harrogate Road. Refreshments will be served at the Church Hall.

Sandy Lane: There is a 12.30 noon Service at Greenwood Park War Memorial.

Harden: A wreath-laying ceremony starts at 11am at Harden War Memorial, before a Service at Harden Congregational Church at 11.15am.

Haworth: People will assemble at West Lane Methodist Church Hall at 10.50am for a Remembrance Service, followed by an Ecumenical ceremony at 12.00 noon at the War Memorial, Bridgehouse Lane.

Ilkley: A parade starts at 2.50pm on Whitton Croft Road and a Remembrance Service at 3pm in the Memorial Gardens.

Keighley: A parade will assemble at 9.15am at Russell Street, starting at 9.35am. A Service at Keighley Shared Parish Church begins at 10am before a 10.40am parade to Town Hall Square. Wreaths will be laid at 11am at the cenotaph before a march to Bow Street at 11.15am.

Low Moor: Service at 2pm at the cenotaph, Harold Park.

Menston: Service starts at 10.45am at the Memorials outside Kirklands Community Centre.

Oakworth: Service at the War Memorial in Oakworth Park at 10.45am.

Oxenhope: Service at St Mary the Virgin Church at 10.45am.

Queensbury: A parade starts at the Scout HQ at 10.45am. Remembrance at the cenotaph is at 10.55am.

Shipley: A Service at St Paul’s Parish Church is at 9.45am and is followed by a parade to the cenotaph in Crowgill Park. Remembrance is at 10.55am with refreshments at Shipley Town Hall.

Silsden: A Parade departs for the cenotaph in the Memorial Gardens, Kirkgate at 10.45am from Wesley Place before an 11am Service.

Stanbury: Informal group prayers are at the War Memorial in Stanbury Cemetery at 12.00 noon.

Steeton-with-Eastburn: A Service is at St Stephen’s Church at 10.00am before a wreath-laying ceremony at Steeton War Memorial at 10.50am.

Thornton: There is a Service at the War Memorial in Thornton Cemetery at 11.00am.

Tong: Wreath-laying is at the War Memorial in Tong Cemetery at 11.00am

Wibsey: A Service is at the cenotaph at 3pm.

Wilsden: A Service is at the War Memorial on Main Street, at 10.45am, followed by refreshments at Wilsden Village Hall. The roads leading to and from the War Memorial will be closed from 10.30am and re-open at 11.30am.
