TWO weeks of resurfacing work is due to take place on a section of road linking Bradford and Halifax, with motorists urged to seek alternative routes.
The work on a 1 kilometre stretch of A6036 Halifax Road (Buttershaw) from Cemetery Road to Fenwick Drive will begin on Monday and run until November 25.
The resurfacing is due to take place on site between 9:30am to 7pm from Monday to Friday.
The work will take place using two way temporary traffic lights during this time.
Application for new link-road and junction improvements at Great Horton Road is submitted
A Bradford Council spokesperson said: “This much needed resurfacing will be completed as quickly as possible, but drivers and commuters should expect some delays and disruption and are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid the area where possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these essential works.”
