A THIRD strike burglar who was jailed last month could have his sentenced reviewed.

Shaun Roy Green, of no fixed address, stole £30,000 from his former boss's home, in August.

Last month he was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court to two years and four months in prison.

His case has now been put forward to the Attorney General's Office through a scheme for unduly lenient sentences.

It gives victims of crime, members of the public and the Crown Prosecution Service, a chance to ask for a sentence to be reviewed.

If deemed too low by the Attorney General, the Court of Appeal can be asked to review the sentence with a view to increasing it.

Green, who was 43 at the time, smashed a conservatory window in targeting his former boss's home, taking the cash from a drawer.

He claimed he was trying to get money owed to him, but the cash was never recovered after someone else stole it from him.
