Former Bradford City striker and current Sheffield United footballer Oliver McBurnie is due to appear in court charged with drink-driving.

The 23-year-old striker is accused of driving over the limit in Leeds in the early hours of October 18.

Days later, on October 21, he appeared as a late substitute in his team's surprise victory over Arsenal at Bramall Lane.

McBurnie, who has played for Scotland, moved to Sheffield United from Swansea in August, scoring one league goal so far this season.

The forward, who is from Leeds, has also had stints at Barnsley, Bristol Rovers and Newport County.

He is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Wednesday afternoon.
