FIREFIGHTERS are at the scene of a blaze in Pudsey this morning. 

Crews were called to a property on New Street at 4.13am.  

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the fire was in a detached house, set in its own grounds.

One hundred per cent of the roof was involved and around 50 per cent of the house and it was described as "not in a good state".

Floors inside the house have collapsed, the spokesman said.

Four large jets, breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation fans were used at the scene.

Four crews were sent to the scene - two from Bradford, one from Stanningley and one from Shipley. 

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew are still at the property this morning, along with fire investigation officers."
