A 32-YEAR-OLD man has made his first appearance before a crown court judge accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Anthony Heap, of Knutsford Grove, Holme Wood, Bradford, was charged with the offence following an incident on Bonfire Night last year when a man was found in Muirhead Drive, Holme Wood, with serious head and leg injuries. No details about the case were revealed during a brief hearing before Judge Colin Burn at Bradford Crown Court yesterday and Heap, who is currently on unconditional bail, was not asked to enter a plea to the charge.
Judge Burn was told that a trial could last about two days and he confirmed a provisional trial date of March 19 next year. The judge also fixed a further pre-trial hearing for January 10. Heap has his unconditional bail extended and was told he would have to attend the hearing in January if required.
