ARMED POLICE are in action on a residential street just off Leeds Road in Bradford.
Residents said police first arrived on Cockroft Grove at around 9.30am along with the ambulance service.
West Yorkshire Police has confirmed the force is searching for a wanted man in relation to firearms offences.
A cordon is in place for the public's safety while neighbourhood policing teams are in the area.
One local, who lives one street away, said: "It's quite disturbing if there's stuff going on like that. We have kids playing out and about and you don't know what's going on around the corner.
"There could be anything happening. It's quite disturbing if someone's doing this.
"I'm happy the police are looking into it and they're making us safe. I'd like to thank the police officers.
"I've seen ambulances there. There was about three or four ambulances."
