MORRISONS Girlington has launched it's new free to use community room.
The room, opened by Councillor Fozia Shabeen and store manager Richard Storey, provides a comfortable space for groups to use with tea and coffee making facilities also provided free of charge.
Cllr Shabeen said: "This is an amazing idea. I am extremely grateful to Morrisons for working in partnership with the community. This idea of community engagement is spectacular."
The launch of the facility took place yesterday with Halloween-themed pumpkin-making sessions for children and their parents.
The supermarket, at the Victoria Shopping Centre, says it is bringing the community together in this new venture.
Anyone who has a community project and wants to utilise this space can get more details by emailing: champion.victoria@morrisonsplc.co.uk
