A ROAD in Shipley was closed for several hours last night after a teenage girl was hit by a car.
It happened on Briggate, at the junction with Crag Road, and was reported at just after 4.30pm.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "It involved a red Ford Ka and a 15-year-old girl.
"The girl was taken to hospital with injuries, which were found not to be serious.
"The driver of the Ka, a woman, was spoken to by officers at the scene."
Motorists were advised to avoid the area as the incident led to heavy traffic.
