RUNNERS young and old are hoping to beat their personal best at the annual Bradford City Run this Sunday.

People of all levels will race on the 5K loop complete with four different race distances.

The course will give almost 1,000 runners a breezy Autumnal jog round Bradford city centre, including landmarks like City Park, Bradford University, the Broadway and Little Germany.

Two laps raises the distance up to 10K with the option for more daring runners to take on a half marathon.

Some people will take on the new 10 mile route while kids can get a taste of the big race at the one mile fun run.

In the runners information pack. Bradford City Run's organisers said: "The beauty of Bradford City Runs is that it is totally inclusive for all types of runners and abilities.

"We welcome runners of all levels, including those in fancy dress, to walk, run, support and celebrate a great community event. A fun filled family day with entertainment and prizes."

The event is delivered in a partnership between Bradford Council and Bradford Athletics Network. It is also supported by Living Well programme as well as the University of Bradford, Bradford College, St Bede’s School and many of the RunBradford running groups, clubs and volunteers who lend their services to marshal the event.
